Let's talk
[ ABOUT ]

An engineering studio,not an agency.

Independent, and working internationally. We build the public face of businesses and the systems behind it, and we keep them running afterwards.

The idea

A business's public face is usually dated, half-broken, or was never built properly in the first place. Most of the market responds to that by patching it — another plugin, another theme, another year bought.

We rebuild it instead, and the rebuild is the value. What comes out is worth more than what was there, and it is worth more precisely because of where it was broken: the parts that failed are the parts you now know the most about.

How we work

Scope before price

Every engagement starts with an analysis stage that ends in a written scope, including what is deliberately outside it. You can take that document elsewhere.

Decisions written down

Data model, access rules and architecture are recorded before the build. It is the cheapest possible time to disagree with them.

Staged delivery

Something working early and more working each stage, rather than a demo at the end and a surprise about what "done" meant.

We stay

Launch is the middle of the job. Monitoring, backups with tested restores and a stated response window are the second half of it.

What we will not do

Keeping a site available is what a hosting retainer is for, and it is what we commit to: we run the hosting ourselves, we watch it continuously, and we are working on an outage before you have noticed it. We do not publish a percentage, because a number invented for a brochure is not a commitment — monitoring, tested backups and a stated response window are.

We will not sell you a rebuild you do not need. If the existing thing is serviceable, the honest answer is to maintain it, and we would rather say so than take the larger invoice.

We will not put stock photography and the phrase "beautiful websites" in front of you. If the work cannot be judged on how it is described and how it is scoped, a photograph of somebody else's office will not fix that.

Start with the problem.

No sales pressure and no generic proposal. Tell us what you are trying to build and you will get a straight technical read on it and a clear next step.
